During my week-long stay, I was captivated by the hotel’s charming architectural features and cozy ambiance. the rooms were spacious and clean, complete with a unique portable record player that added a nostalgic touch. the Rainbird restaurant offered delicious meals, and the friendly bar was a delightful surprise. the bathroom amenities were upscale, particularly the walk-in shower featuring a slip-resistant floor. the friendly and accommodating staff made our experience even more enjoyable, ensuring everything was easy from check-in to check-out.

I can just recommend this hotel.

I spent 1 night here and enjoyed that. The property was fairly clean and staff was amicable. The location was great in the historical center of Merced. And the area was downtown, adjacent to also during the night, trains and the downtown area. The room was unique and extremely spacious, had a safe box, cable TV with on-demand movies and a fridge.

The place is modernized and fairly clean. Really helpful staff, the rooms are unique and clean. There are a laptop-compatible safe, central heating, and an ironing set - that's always a plus. The location is exceptionally nice, really close to several areas on the tile, a railway, and Merced - couldn't be better. The place to have dinner approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel is Cote Brasserie...

The well-appointed and unique room offered all the necessary facilities, including an iron/ironing board, an electronic key card, and coffee/tea making machines. Its central location made it convenient to access various areas, even at night.

El Capitan in downtown was a clean, well-located gem with great decor and a comfortable bed. the exceptional gym and the cozy cafe/bar next door were convenient amenities. the efficient and friendly service from the front desk to valet staff added to the pleasant stay. the room's thoughtful touches like a record player and good lighting enhanced the experience. Enjoying morning coffee from the cafe Native Son was a fabulous start to the day.
